As a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice, I specialize in evidence-based approaches to the treatment of anxiety, depression and adjustment to everyday problems, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT). I am particularly interested in applying these interventions in order to address the needs of parents whose children suffer from mental health challenges or developmental delays. As a contributor to the Roslyn News, I provide guidance for parents of children with developmental disabilities.
I received my Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and completed my clinical internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. I also hold a Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders from the University of California, Davis. I was fortunate enough to be a NARSAD grant recipient, and I have published peer reviewed journal articles related to the treatment and neurobiology of mood disorders.
In addition to my private practice, I am a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Northwell Health/Hofstra School of Medicine.
